Owner/Driver

Founder of Paddon Racing Group dating back to 2006, Hayden then brought PRG to the next step in 2019 after his international rally career, to build and offer services to customers only. While still competing, Hayden is focused on the teams long term goals of having a Kiwi international competing motorsport team.

Lead Technician

Starting with the team as early as 2017, Mike has played a key role in the success of Hayden and Hyundai NZ motorsport projects, having built and maintained all Hayden NZ rally cars. Also involved in customer projects, Mike is one of the most skilled technicians in the country, specialising in engine building, gearbox and diffs as well as fabrication.

Team Manager

Starting with the team in 2021, Matthew plays a pivotal role within the team of people and logistics management. Managing events for both Hyundai NZ rally team and customer racing projects, he also works with Hayden to foster the growth of Paddon Racing Group into the future.

Lead Engineer

Matt has been the heart to PRG technology projects and aspirations moving forward. As a highly skilled and intelligent engineer, Matt was the brain child behind the Hyundai Kona EV rally car, using that experience to embark on bigger projects now with customers and internally. A hugely talented engineer who also is a valuable team member on motorsport events with data engineering.

Senior Technician

Starting with PRG in 2022, Ollie has grown into an integral part of the team, leading the technical maintenance of several key customer cars, as well as day to day work in the workshop. As an experienced technician in the industry for over 10 years, Ollie has a huge amount of experience to lean on.

Technician

Our newest team member has brought his ‘Southern’ can do attitude into the motorsport world with no job being too hard. Josh has already grown within the team to be running/managing customer cars on events as well as a great deal of experience with both race and rally cars.
